Who we are
Ardenly is operated by Ardenly LLC. This disclosure applies to the Ardenly website at ardenly.com and to the Ardenly browser extension.
Our relationship with retailers
Ardenly participates in affiliate marketing programs. These are arrangements — either directly with a retailer or through an affiliate network that represents many retailers — in which we are paid a commission for referring a customer who then makes a purchase.
Some, though not all, of the product links Ardenly shows you are affiliate links. When you click one and complete a purchase, the retailer may pay Ardenly LLC a percentage of that sale or a fixed fee.
What this costs you: nothing
Affiliate commissions are paid by the retailer out of their own marketing budget. They are not added to your total. The price you see and pay is the same price you would pay if you had navigated to that retailer directly, without Ardenly installed.
How this affects what you're shown
We think this is the part that matters most, so we want to be specific:
- Ardenly ranks results by price and relevance to the item you're viewing — not by which retailer pays us the highest commission.
- We show retailers we have no affiliate relationship with, and earn nothing when you buy from them.
- If the page you are already on offers the best available price, Ardenly will tell you that, even though we earn nothing by doing so.
- We do not accept payment from a retailer in exchange for being ranked higher, and we do not suppress a cheaper result because it is less profitable for us.
Accuracy of prices and availability
Prices, availability, shipping costs, and taxes change constantly and vary by location. Ardenly makes a good-faith effort to display accurate, current information, but we cannot guarantee it. Always confirm the final price at the retailer's checkout before you buy. Ardenly is not the seller and is not a party to your transaction — your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, and their terms, returns policy, and warranties apply.
Endorsements
Appearing in Ardenly's results is not an endorsement of a retailer or a product. Inclusion is determined by whether a matching or comparable item was found, not by any commercial relationship.
Why we publish this
The United States Federal Trade Commission requires clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections between a publisher and the merchants it promotes. Beyond the legal requirement, we would rather you simply know how we're paid — an extension that watches you shop should be straightforward about its incentives.
